UK indie music distributor 3DD Entertainment has acquired the worldwide DVD rights, excluding North America, to two-part documentary Secrets of Angels, Demons & Masons.
Like Dan Brown's best-selling novel The Da Vinci Code, the (2x60') documentary also explores the mysterious societies that have sparked rumour and scandal throughout history – from the Middle Ages to the founding of America.
The documentary, produced by US-based Hidden Treasures Productions, draws on the Dan Burstein and Arne de Keizjer non-fiction book of the same name, and explores groups such as the Freemasons and the Illuminati.
"The international DVD release of Secrets of Angels, Demons & Masons will nicely coincide with the worldwide premiere of The Da Vinci Code starring Tom Hanks, set to be released in May 2006," said Stuart Rekant, executive producer at Hidden Treasures.
"Dan Burstein's prominence and his global following in the field of Dan Brown's 'code breakers' positions our documentary for significant sales in the world market," he added. No TV networks are yet attached to the show.
