Former U.S. vp Dick Cheney deems Canada too dangerous for speaking visit

Former Vice President Dick Cheney addresses the third annual Washington Ideas Forum

TORONTO – Former U.S. vice-president Dick Cheney has cancelled a Canadian speaking appearance due to security concerns sparked by demonstrations during a visit he made to Vancouver last fall, the event promoter said Monday.

Cheney, whom the protesters denounced as a war criminal, was slated to talk about his experiences in office and the current American political situation at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on April 24.

However, Ryan Ruppert, of Spectre Live Corp., said Cheney and his daughter Elizabeth had begged off via their agent.

“After speaking with their security advisers, they changed their mind on coming to the event,” Ruppert said.

“(They) decided it was better for their personal safety they stay out of Canada.”

Last Sept. 26, Cheney’s appearance in Vancouver was marred by demonstrators who blocked the entrances to the exclusive Vancouver Club.

The activists, who at one point scuffled with police, called for Cheney’s arrest for war crimes and booed guests as they […]

State of Israel’s foreign policy has depended on regional masonic alliances since Colonial French North Africa era in 1950’s: Report

Jan. 29, 2011 Haaretz

Without Egypt, Israel will be left with no friends in Mideast

Without Egypt’s Mubarak and with relations with Turkey in shambles, Israel will be forced to court new potential allies.

By Aluf Benn

Wikipedia: Suzanne Mubarak, Honorary President of Rotary Clubs of Egypt, has received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award several times. Her son Gamal Mubarak, said to be his father’s successor as the next president of Egypt, is also an Honorary Rotarian.

The fading power of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s government leaves Israel in a state of strategic distress. Without Mubarak, Israel is left with almost no friends in the Middle East; last year, Israel saw its alliance with Turkey collapse.

From now on, it will be hard for Israel to trust an Egyptian government torn apart by internal strife. Israel’s increasing isolation in the region, coupled with a weakening United States, will force the government to court new potential allies.

Israel’s foreign policy has depended on regional alliances which have provided the country with strategic depth since the 1950s. The country’s first partner was France, which at the time ruled over northern Africa and provided Israel […]

Corporate ‘Knights’: Bro. Conrad Black on Bro. Maurice Strong, Bro.Warren Buffett and Bro. Bill Gates

Funny Oped by Bro. Black who spent decades as a member of the secret Freemason-Politician Bilderberg-Meetings, which have been promoting a one world Global U.N. Government scheme for the past fifty years, by manufacturing and using/abusing various ‘events’ and ‘crisises’ thoughout the world. ‘Conservative’ Black also wrote a 800 page biography on Bro. Stalin’s best bud Bro. FDR.

Guess Lord C. Harbour has had a change of heart while at Camp Coleman, at least while his new appeal is underway.

Wish he had elaborated a little more about his ‘old friend’ Bro. Maurice Strong though. Perhaps for the next dispatch from the sunshine state eh ?

Conrad Black: Capitalists celebrate capitalism’s enemies Conrad Black, Full Comment

Last week, I wrote in this space about Corporate Knights, a magazine insert (in another Canadian newspaper) whose editorial mission consists in large part of feting tired left-wing icons. The lively response to my column brought the information that this astounding organization had a celebratory day of festivities in Toronto last month, at which its chief private-sector financial supporters were given awards as Canada’s most “sustainable” corporations. As a special reward, they all got […]

My solidarity with Bro. George Galloway, by Bro. Conrad Black

The Guardian Thursday 26 March 2009

Letter: My solidarity with George Galloway Conrad Black

George Galloway attacks the Canadian minister of immigration, Jason Kenney, for not allowing him into Canada and says his exclusion by such a “last-ditch dead-ender of Bushism” is “like being told to sit up straight by the Hunchback of Notre dame or lectured on due diligence by Conrad Black” (Comment, 21 March).

Given Mr Galloway’s well-known and often well-founded scepticism about official American sanctimony, I am disappointed he thinks the relentless persecution I have endured in that country in the last six years, 90% of which has already been debunked by its stacked court system, implies any likelihood of unethical behaviour by me. He should also be aware that inadequate due diligence was one of the few false allegations that did not figure among the many charges unsuccessfully made against me in the reckless and at times unlawful actions of the Chicago prosecutors. Despite this donkey kick, and his misrepresentation of the Iraq and Afghan wars, I do agree that Mr Galloway should be admitted to Canada whenever he wishes to come. I have written a column to that effect in the […]
