Former U.S. vp Dick Cheney deems Canada too dangerous for speaking visit

Former Vice President Dick Cheney addresses the third annual Washington Ideas Forum

TORONTO – Former U.S. vice-president Dick Cheney has cancelled a Canadian speaking appearance due to security concerns sparked by demonstrations during a visit he made to Vancouver last fall, the event promoter said Monday.

Cheney, whom the protesters denounced as a war criminal, was slated to talk about his experiences in office and the current American political situation at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on April 24.

However, Ryan Ruppert, of Spectre Live Corp., said Cheney and his daughter Elizabeth had begged off via their agent.

“After speaking with their security advisers, they changed their mind on coming to the event,” Ruppert said.

“(They) decided it was better for their personal safety they stay out of Canada.”

Last Sept. 26, Cheney’s appearance in Vancouver was marred by demonstrators who blocked the entrances to the exclusive Vancouver Club.

The activists, who at one point scuffled with police, called for Cheney’s arrest for war crimes and booed guests as they […]

Report: Freemason opposition leader Bro. Tony Blair flew to Australia in 1995 to court Bro. Rupert Murdoch newspaper support in exchange for Masonic favours

Phone-hacking scandal likely marks end of media baron’s control of British politics Doug Saunders – London

For decades, the tabloid newspapers of Britain have determined the political fates of governments left and right and held politicians hostage by threatening to expose their personal lives. It is an awkward and needy relationship, probably the last of its kind in the Western world, that seemed to come crashing to a halt as the House of Commons turned for the first time against the country’s most powerful media mogul.

It was as if a generation of political shame and anxiety exploded in a great catharsis of outrage and vengeance, with MP after MP rising on Wednesday to denounce magnate Rupert Murdoch and his control over their destinies. Tory MP Zac Goldsmith said that the Australian media baron “has systematically corrupted the police and in my view has gelded this Parliament, to our shame.”

It began as an emergency debate, called by the opposition Labour Party after it was revealed this week that the News of the World, a Sunday tabloid, had repeatedly broken into the mobile phone voicemail accounts of a […]

Le Scandal: The Arab world’s revolutions have exposed the moral bankruptcy of France’s masonic foreign policy

FP – Foreign Policy Le Scandal

The Arab world’s revolutions have exposed the moral bankruptcy of France’s foreign policy.

BY ERIC PAPE | FEBRUARY 25, 2011

COMMENTS (14) Masonic Gestures: Hand on Shoulder, Hand in Jacket Breast The year in French foreign policy began rather well, with a feeling of a fresh start as the new minister of foreign affairs, Michèle Alliot-Marie, returned home rejuvenated from her Christmas holiday to provide renewed strength and focus at the Quai d’Orsay, the home of the ministry. As it turned out, neither her return, nor the vacation itself were such a great idea.

Two months into 2011, the transformation of North Africa has exposed a slew of moral failings in French policy in the Arab world, and raised a flurry of questions about Alliot-Marie’s ethics, judgment, and veracity. By Feb. 27, Alliot-Marie was gone, replaced in a cabinet reshuffle after less than four months in office. The rest of the French diplomatic corps is increasingly turning on the president as his Middle East policy continues to disintegrate.

Sarkozy, in a mea culpa of sorts, recently explained that France did not take “full measure of the hopelessness” […]

State of Israel’s foreign policy has depended on regional masonic alliances since Colonial French North Africa era in 1950’s: Report

Jan. 29, 2011 Haaretz

Without Egypt, Israel will be left with no friends in Mideast

Without Egypt’s Mubarak and with relations with Turkey in shambles, Israel will be forced to court new potential allies.

By Aluf Benn

Wikipedia: Suzanne Mubarak, Honorary President of Rotary Clubs of Egypt, has received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award several times. Her son Gamal Mubarak, said to be his father’s successor as the next president of Egypt, is also an Honorary Rotarian.

The fading power of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s government leaves Israel in a state of strategic distress. Without Mubarak, Israel is left with almost no friends in the Middle East; last year, Israel saw its alliance with Turkey collapse.

From now on, it will be hard for Israel to trust an Egyptian government torn apart by internal strife. Israel’s increasing isolation in the region, coupled with a weakening United States, will force the government to court new potential allies.

Israel’s foreign policy has depended on regional alliances which have provided the country with strategic depth since the 1950s. The country’s first partner was France, which at the time ruled over northern Africa and provided Israel […]

US Military burned unsolicited Bibles sent to Afghanistan: REPORT

CNN May 22, 2009

Military personnel threw away, and ultimately burned, confiscated Bibles that were printed in the two most common Afghan languages amid concern they would be used to try to convert Afghans, a Defense Department spokesman said Tuesday.

The unsolicited Bibles sent by a church in the United States were confiscated about a year ago at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan because military rules forbid troops of any religion from proselytizing while deployed there, Lt. Col. Mark Wright said.

Such religious outreach can endanger American troops and civilians in the devoutly Muslim nation, Wright said.

“The decision was made that it was a ‘force protection’ measure to throw them away, because, if they did get out, it could be perceived by Afghans that the U.S. government or the U.S. military was trying to convert Muslims,” Wright told CNN on Tuesday.

Troops at posts in war zones are required to burn their trash, Wright said.

This decision came to light recently, after the Al Jazeera English network aired video of a group prayer service and chapel sermon that a reporter said suggested U.S. troops were being encouraged to spread Christianity.

“This was irresponsible and […]

No need for public inquiry into G20 chaos say Freemason Premier of Ontario and Freemason Mayor of Toronto

Toronto Star Ontario won’t call public inquiry into G20 chaos

Mon Jun 28 2010 Rob Ferguson, Tanya Talaga and David Rider

Queen’s Park says it’s up to Ottawa to call a public inquiry into the G20 Summit that roiled Toronto.

And Toronto Mayor David Miller insists no inquiry is needed, saying the city’s Police Services Board will conduct a routine review with input from citizens — and anyone who feels they were mistreated by police can complain directly to the provincial Office of the Independent Police Review Director.

But Ontario’s New Democrats say there are “far more questions than there are answers” after the wild weekend of violence and the decisions that led up to it, making it essential to have an inquiry into how Toronto was chosen, security was planned, as well as police tactics and strategy over the weekend.

“It’s unbelievable so many crimes could be committed in the presence of so many police officers,” said New Democrat MPP and justice critic Peter Kormos, referring to the “black bloc” protesters who ran amok despite a security tab of almost $1 billion.

Dubai police chief seeks Israeli Freemason’s arrest

Radio Netherlands Dubai police chief seeks Israeli PM’s arrest

Published on 3 March 2010 – 9:48am

Grand Entrance Watch

The Israeli secret service, Mossad, has been suspected of being behind the murder for some time. Israel says that there is no proof. But the Dubai police chief is so sure that besides Mr Netanyahu, he also wants a warrant issued for the arrest of Mossad leader Meir Dagan.

The perpetrators of the murder used false Australian, French, Irish and German passports. This recently led to a diplomatic row between Israel and the countries involved.

Villagers list 147 dead in Afghan strike

Villagers list 147 dead in Afghan strike

Sharafuddin Sharafyar Reuters North American News Service

May 08, 2009 05:39 EST

KABUL, May 8 (Reuters) – Residents of two villages hit earlier this week by U.S. air strikes have prepared lists with the names of 147 people killed in the attacks, the deputy governor of the province where the strikes took place said.

Farah Province deputy governor Yunus Rasooli told Reuters residents of the village of Geraani had provided 90 names and residents of neighbouring Ganj Abad village another 57. The two villages were struck by U.S. warplanes during a battle in another nearby village on Monday and Tuesday.

Rasooli said the lists included eight school children whose names were provided by the Ministry of Education.

Abdul Basir Khairkhah, a member of the provincial government’s investigating team, confirmed that the villagers’ lists contained 147 names. He said he had seen two mass graves and more than 40 individual graves in the two villages.
