I will be offering a couple of posts on Masonic themes, but my basic point is simple. Whenever I look at modern history – say, from the Enlightenment onwards – you find Masonic ideas and organizations everywhere you look, especially in the Anglo-Saxon world, but also further afield.
The relationship between sworn law enforcement personnel and the Lodge is a subject matter that is very rarely discussed in any circle. As secretive as the Freemasons Lodge is, the world of law enforcement is equally and arguably more secretive in the totality of scope and core nature.
The former House stenographer who interrupted the floor proceedings during the government shutdown last year said in a video posted Saturday she only vaguely remembers her words that night and similar things had happened three times in the past.
“Unquestionably, the Masonic lodges and prominent Freemasons did play a political role in the revolution, but it would be naïve to imagine that they conspired to bring it about. History simply does not work that way.
