VIDEO: South Vietnam's President Nguyen Van Thieu talks to BBC - Jan 31, 1975 (Briefing on the conclusions of the Synod on the Family 2014.10.18)

The Paris Peace Accords of 1973 intended to establish peace in Vietnam and an end to the Vietnam War. It ended direct U.S. military combat, and temporarily stopped the fighting between North and South Vietnam. The governments of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam), the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam), and the United States, as well as the Provisional Revolutionary Government (PRG) that represented indigenous South Vietnamese revolutionaries, signed the Agreement on Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam on January 27, 1973. The agreement was not ratified by the United States Senate.[1][2] The negotiations that led to the accord began in 1968 after various lengthy delays. As a result of the accord, the International Control Commission (ICC) was replaced by International Commission of Control and Supervision (ICCS) to fulfill the agreement. The main negotiators of the agreement were United States National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger and Vietnamese politburo member Lê Đức Thọ; the two men were awarded the 1973 Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts, although Lê Đức Thọ refused to accept it. Syrian Army Recaptures Ancient Christian Town From Jihadis

The military action follows seizure of the rebel-held Syrian border town of Rankous, in the strategically located Qalamoun region, which deprives the opposition their last major base in the area and cuts off a former supply line for weapons and fighters from neighbouring Lebanon. Maaloula had earlier been overran by Islamist fighters, some belonging to the al-Qaida linked Al Nusra front, who also took 13 nuns captive from their convent. They were freed in a prisoner swap deal brokered by Qatar and Lebanon. […]

French Freemason Catholic Priest To Appeal Vatican Punishment To Pope – CDF Ruled During Period Between Benedict Resignation and Francis Election

L’Express – France 10 July 2013

Father Vesin in L’Express by François Koch

Google Translation

The Express has published an article on 10 July four pages on Father Pascal Vesin , the pastor of the Church of Megève fired because he was denounced as a Freemason GODF by anonymous letters.

The Express was a long meeting Father Pascal Vesin and the Vicar General of the Diocese of Annecy Alain Fournier.

It appears from this investigation that the father Pascal was almost excommunicated for a “matter of principle” (the ban to be a member of a Masonic Lodge) and there is absolutely no evidence of the influence of its membership GODF to how it performed its function of priest. Being recognized in the Diocese that the results of his work at the head of the parish is very positive.

Vesin father wants to continue his fight … walking on Rome from 14 July to late August, with the aim of obtaining a hearing Francis Pope. He hopes to convince him to return to the maximum penalty was imposed. It is true that the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith ruled on March 7, six […]

French priest defrocked after refusing to forsake Freemasonry

The Eponymous Flower Blog http://eponymousflower.blogspot.com2013/05/priest-excommunicated-for-membership-in.html

Priest Excommunicated for Membership In Masonic Lodge — Church Infiltrated by Freemasons Friday, May 24, 2013

(Paris) Freemasons in the Catholic Church have something in common with El Diabolos: They both want to make you believe that he does not exist. The Vatican has now asked the Bishop of Annecy, Monsignor Yves Boivineau, to suspend the pastor of Sainte Anne d’Arly-Montjoie of Megeve from his office. This is due to his membership in the Grand Orient of France. Abbè Pascal Vesin, 43 years old, was ordained a priest in 1996. He was initiated into a Masonic lodge and joined the Grand Orient, the largest Masonic order in France, such as Riposte Catholique reported in 2001. Ever since Abbé Vesin had tied on the apron of the lodge, the lodge was his real home. Since then he has infiltrated the Catholic Church with Masonic ideas.

Rome’s mills grind slowly, but they grind. In 2010, the Bishop of Annecy, this is the See of St. Francis de Sales, was informed of the lodge membership of this priest. The bishop asked and the priest denied. After 2011, it was evident he belonged to the […]

Is Freemasonry Incompatible with the Catholic Faith? In the new Canon Law, Freemasonry is not explicitly mentioned, unlike the previous Code

Catholicculture.org Is Freemasonry Incompatible with the Catholic Faith?

Advent 2012 by Wlodzimierz Redzioch

In this interview Father Zbigniew Suchecki, a professor at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of St. Bonaventure in Rome, as well as an expert on Freemasonry, provides a brief explanation of the Church’s teaching on the topic.

The Catholic Church’s position has not changed. So said Monsignor Gianfranco Girotti, close advisor of Pope Benedict XVI, during a conference on the topic Freemasonry and the Catholic Church at Rome’s Pontifical Theological Faculty of St. Bonaventure on March 1 this year.

The vision and philosophy of Freemasonry is incompatible with the Catholic faith and membership in the Catholic Church, Girotti said.

The meeting, presided over by Girotti, included Carlo Giovanardi, Professor Zbigniew Suchecki of the Friars Minor Conventual, Professor Domingo Andres, Professor Pietro Amata, and others.

Freemasonry of all types — regular or irregular, legitimate or “diverted” — has been condemned by many Popes in a total of about 600 documents. The question, however, is relevant today, as many Catholics have become Freemasons. I asked Professor Suchecki, a Freemasonry expert, to discuss the issue.

Briefly, what is Freemasonry?

Archbishop of Canterbury at centre of ‘row’ after Freemason appointed Bishop: Report

Telegraph Archbishop allows freemason to be bishop

The Archbishop of Canterbury is at the centre of a row after it emerged he had appointed a Freemason to be a bishop.

14 May 2011 By Jonathan Wynne-Jones, Religious Affairs Correspondent

Dr Rowan Williams named the Rev Jonathan Baker as the next Bishop of Ebbsfleet despite knowing he was an active and senior mason.

The appointment, announced earlier this month, marked a significant U-turn by Dr Williams who had previously said that Freemasonry was “incompatible” with Christianity and had refused to promote Masons to senior posts.

Last week, as news of Fr Baker’s membership of the Masons began to circulate through the Church, it provoked growing concern and criticism from clergy and members of the General Synod.

When contacted by The Sunday Telegraph on Friday, Fr Baker defended his continued membership of the Masons and insisted it was compatible with his new role as a bishop.

Yet yesterday he said he had changed his mind was leaving the masons so he could concentrate on being a bishop, adding: “I wish nothing to distract from the inauguration of that ministry.”

Anti-abortion protesters hope Freemason Stephen Harper will re-open debate?

Freemason PM Stephen Harper Making Masonic Recognition Signal in House of Commons, Ottawa

OTTAWA – Thousands of protesters gathered on Parliament Hill Thursday and marched through Ottawa streets to demand the federal government outlaw abortion.

“We won’t rest until, once again, a culture of life has been restored to Canada,” said Jim Hughes, the National President of the Campaign Life Coalition.

The anti-abortion organization has held an annual rally in Ottawa for 14 years. Church and school groups are among those who attend every year.

During the election, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said his government would not support opening up the abortion issue.

“The government will not bring forward any such legislation and any such legislation that is brought forward will be defeated as long as I am prime minister,” Harper said.

Anti-abortion activists are not holding their breath for Harper to change the law. Instead, they are hoping newly elected MPs will lead the charge.

“Harper has never been pro-life and so we don’t expect much from him,” said Hughes. “We expect a lot from […]

US Congress Speaker Pelosi on ‘the progressives’ contraceptive master plan

Catholic News Agency Jan 26, 2009

Pelosi attempts to justify funding for contraception in economic stimulus package

Washington DC (CNA). – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in a Sunday interview tried to justify the inclusion of hundreds of millions of dollars in funding for contraceptives in the $825 billion economic stimulus package by claiming family planning services “reduce cost.”

Speaker Pelosi made her comments in an appearance on ABC’s This Week with host George Stephanopoulos. Stephanopoulos asked how the expansion of “family planning services” could be considered an economic stimulus. The Speaker replied:

“Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children’s health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those – one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.”

Stephanopoulos responded, “So no apologies for that?” “No apologies. No,” Speaker Pelosi replied.

“We have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy.”

Speaker Pelosi is a self-described Catholic.

US Military burned unsolicited Bibles sent to Afghanistan: REPORT

CNN May 22, 2009

Military personnel threw away, and ultimately burned, confiscated Bibles that were printed in the two most common Afghan languages amid concern they would be used to try to convert Afghans, a Defense Department spokesman said Tuesday.

The unsolicited Bibles sent by a church in the United States were confiscated about a year ago at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan because military rules forbid troops of any religion from proselytizing while deployed there, Lt. Col. Mark Wright said.

Such religious outreach can endanger American troops and civilians in the devoutly Muslim nation, Wright said.

“The decision was made that it was a ‘force protection’ measure to throw them away, because, if they did get out, it could be perceived by Afghans that the U.S. government or the U.S. military was trying to convert Muslims,” Wright told CNN on Tuesday.

Troops at posts in war zones are required to burn their trash, Wright said.

This decision came to light recently, after the Al Jazeera English network aired video of a group prayer service and chapel sermon that a reporter said suggested U.S. troops were being encouraged to spread Christianity.

“This was irresponsible and […]

Pope Benedict Continues Crusade For World Government

SmallGovTimes.com Pope continues crusade for world government

January 12, 2010 By Cliff Kincaid

Brotherhood Gripped, Globalism Grasped

Glenn Beck recently said that he was inundated with messages from people concerned about an Obama executive order giving special rights to the international police organization known as Interpol. But what about the global campaign by the Vatican to establish a “World Political Authority” with “teeth.” Don’t look for Beck, O’Reilly or anybody else in the media to take on Pope Benedict XVI. It is just too controversial. Commentators who question the Vatican run the risk of being labeled anti-Catholic bigots.

Many Catholics, especially of a conservative persuasion, are embarrassed and troubled by what is happening inside their church. But they are mostly reluctant to say anything publicly. The facts, however, speak for themselves, and they are available on the Vatican’s own website in the actual words and statements being uttered by the Pope.

Consider, for example, Pope Benedict’s passionate embrace of the radical environmental movement. The Washington Times on Tuesday ran a front-page photo of the Pope greeting ambassadors to the Vatican during his new year’s address to the diplomatic corps. “The Pope denounced the failure […]

Use Aborted Children to Make up Shortfall of Transplant Organs: Oxford Stem Cell Expert

Use Aborted Children to Make up Shortfall of Transplant Organs: Oxford Stem Cell Expert By Hilary White

LONDON – An Oxford University stem cell expert has urged the use of aborted children in organ transplants as a solution to the shortage of available organs. Sir Richard Gardner has called for a feasibility study on the possibility of obtaining organs from the bodies of aborted babies.

He said, “It is probably a more realistic technique in dealing with the shortage of kidney donors than others.”

The Daily Mail reports that pro-life and Christian groups have called the proposal “morally abhorrent,” and said it will result in abortions being timed to suit transplant patients.

Dr Peter Saunders, of the Christian Medical Fellowship, said the transplants would be immoral as every human being, even the unborn, deserved “protection, respect, wonder and empathy.”

Bro. Schwarzenegger lauds Bro. Obama for lifting embryonic stem cell ban

Is Arnold a ‘cafeteria Catholic’ too? Gov. Schwarzenegger lauds Obama for lifting federal embryonic stem cell funding ban

Arnold Schwarzenegger, California’s “Catholic” governor, issued a statement yesterday praising Barack Obama shortly after the president issued an executive order lifting restrictions on federal funding of human embryonic stem cell research imposed by the Bush Administration.

“President Obama’s executive order is a huge win for the millions of people who suffer from spinal cord injuries, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis and many other illnesses,” said Schwarzenegger in a statement released by his press office within hours of the president’s decision. “Californians were the first in the nation to support and fund embryonic stem cell research and we are big believers in the power of this revolutionary science to not only improve but to save lives. Because of the federal ban, California’s world-renown research facilities have had to have separate areas for the federally-funded and the non-federally funded programs, causing duplicative efforts. I applaud President Obama for removing this barrier which allows California to maximize critical research funding so we can continue to lead the world in stem cell research.”
