Freemason Conan O’Brien takes over from Freemason Jay Leno on NBC Tonight Show

Bro. O’Brien exchanged freemason secret handshakes when he joined Bro. Leno on the set for his final Tonight Show episode on Friday night. Bro. Leno was recruited to the Tonight Show to replace Freemason Johnny Carson in 1992 after many guest spot appearances. Bro. Leno supported the careers of many Freemason entertainers and politicians during his 17 year run, mirroring Bro. Carson’s masonic habits. Bro. Leno also ‘cut’ quite a few masonic recognition handsigns during his final monologue, a practice which he will no doubt continue in the fall on his ‘new’ program.

Jay Leno ended his 17-year run on NBC’s “The Tonight Show” with one for the record books. His send-off drew the highest Friday overnight ratings during his tenure on the program.

In the top 56 local TV markets, Leno scored an 8.8 rating/20 share in households, according to early data from Nielsen Media Research. That more than doubled the 3.9 rating Leno has averaged in the second quarter of this year. And it was the highest-rated “Tonight” for any night of the week since President Obama visited the program on March 19. Final ratings, including total viewer numbers, will not be available until […]

Report: Bias by Police alleged in Notre Dame Bro. Obama Anti-Abortion Protest

Spero News’ Mary Ann Kreitzer relates this story of a Notre Dame Barack Obama protester who was arrested for ‘belligerance’ for holding up an anti-abortion sign while police permitted pro-obama supporters free curbside motorcade access.

After six hours of joining in the protests off campus, Karen and Sonny left to begin their long ride back to Virginia. But they got turned around and pulled into the parking lot of a credit union bordering the university campus to get their bearings. As they did, they noticed a group of police cars gathering and officers putting up barricades which appeared to mark the route of the Obama motorcade. So Karen and Sonny got out and Karen pulled out her sign, a half posterboard sheet, that read, “Shame on Notre Dame!”

A few minutes later a police officer came over and told them they’d have to move back 50 feet from the road which they did even though others were standing closer. As they walked back with the officer, they objected to being singled out and asked why those walking on the sidewalk weren’t being moved back. The officer spoke into his phone and a minute later they […]

Report: Bro. Obama attempts to block release of torture photo’s

Telegraph.uk 13 May 2009

Just weeks after announcing he would make the images public, administration officials said the president had told his legal advisers that releasing the photos would endanger troops.

The change of heart is thought to have come after senior military officials gave warning the release could cause a backlash against troops.

CIA ignored warnings from US soldiers that torture and extreme stress would not workMr Obama now wants the issue to go back to court, although federal appeals judges have already ruled the photos should be released.

The proposed release of the photographs had threatened to reignite the scandal surrounding Abu Ghraib prison in 2004.

It came after a legal action by the American Civil Liberties Union and followed a political firestorm over alleged torture of detainees under President George W. Bush.

The images relate to more than 400 separate cases involving alleged prisoner abuse between 2001 and 2005.

Villagers list 147 dead in Afghan strike

Sharafuddin Sharafyar Reuters North American News Service

May 08, 2009 05:39 EST

KABUL, May 8 (Reuters) – Residents of two villages hit earlier this week by U.S. air strikes have prepared lists with the names of 147 people killed in the attacks, the deputy governor of the province where the strikes took place said.

Farah Province deputy governor Yunus Rasooli told Reuters residents of the village of Geraani had provided 90 names and residents of neighbouring Ganj Abad village another 57. The two villages were struck by U.S. warplanes during a battle in another nearby village on Monday and Tuesday.

Rasooli said the lists included eight school children whose names were provided by the Ministry of Education.

Abdul Basir Khairkhah, a member of the provincial government’s investigating team, confirmed that the villagers’ lists contained 147 names. He said he had seen two mass graves and more than 40 individual graves in the two villages.

39 Articles of New Age Faith: The New World Order’s ‘United’ Religions Initiative

Chiesa news

Here is the second part of an address to the plenary assembly of the pontifical academy of social sciences, delivered at the Vatican on May 1, 2009:

Obama and Blair. Messianism reinterpreted

by Michel Schooyans

Remake religion? Remake Christianity?

President Obama can count on support for these programs from Tony Blair and his wife Cherie Booth. One of the aims of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, the think tank founded by the former British prime minister, will be that of remaking the major religions, just as his colleague Barack Obama will remake global society. With this purpose, the foundation in question will try to expand the “new rights,” using the world religions for this end and adapting these for their new duties. The religions will have to be reduced to the same common denominator, which means stripping them of their identity. This cannot be done without establishing international law as inspired by Hans Kelsen (1881-1973), and charged with approving all of the laws of sovereign nations. This system of law will also have to be imposed on the world religions in such a way that the new “faith” may be the unifying principle of […]

Bro. Harper RCMP appointee editorialized over T.A.S.E.R. comment

Globe and Mail March 26, 2009

Walking a mile in the wrong shoes Editorial

RCMP Commissioner William Elliott wants Canadians to “walk a mile in my shoes” – a Mountie’s brown boots – before RCMP Commissioner William Elliott judging the organization or its people in the fatal tasering of the Polish immigrant Robert Dziekanski at the Vancouver International Airport.

But the RCMP is not the victim here, and it will not regain Canadians’ confidence by acting like one. Mr. Elliott’s comment is egregious and insulting because he asks for his organization what he does not ask of it – that it walk a mile in the shoes of an unarmed immigrant who did not speak English or French, and who had been waiting for his mother for 10 hours. Never mind a mile.

The Mounties never took the first step. They began tasering Mr. Dziekanski, about whom they knew nothing, and never asked, within 30 seconds of approaching him.

Mr. Elliott asks for empathy, but why should Canadians ignore incompetence and unprofessionalism?

It is clear to nearly everyone in Canada except the RCMP that the tasering was unnecessary, brutal and a national embarrassment. […]

My solidarity with Bro. George Galloway, by Bro. Conrad Black

The Guardian Thursday 26 March 2009

Letter: My solidarity with George Galloway Conrad Black

George Galloway attacks the Canadian minister of immigration, Jason Kenney, for not allowing him into Canada and says his exclusion by such a “last-ditch dead-ender of Bushism” is “like being told to sit up straight by the Hunchback of Notre dame or lectured on due diligence by Conrad Black” (Comment, 21 March).

Given Mr Galloway’s well-known and often well-founded scepticism about official American sanctimony, I am disappointed he thinks the relentless persecution I have endured in that country in the last six years, 90% of which has already been debunked by its stacked court system, implies any likelihood of unethical behaviour by me. He should also be aware that inadequate due diligence was one of the few false allegations that did not figure among the many charges unsuccessfully made against me in the reckless and at times unlawful actions of the Chicago prosecutors. Despite this donkey kick, and his misrepresentation of the Iraq and Afghan wars, I do agree that Mr Galloway should be admitted to Canada whenever he wishes to come. I have written a column to that effect in the […]

Use Aborted Children to Make up Shortfall of Transplant Organs: Oxford Stem Cell Expert

Use Aborted Children to Make up Shortfall of Transplant Organs: Oxford Stem Cell Expert By Hilary White

LONDON – An Oxford University stem cell expert has urged the use of aborted children in organ transplants as a solution to the shortage of available organs. Sir Richard Gardner has called for a feasibility study on the possibility of obtaining organs from the bodies of aborted babies.

He said, “It is probably a more realistic technique in dealing with the shortage of kidney donors than others.”

The Daily Mail reports that pro-life and Christian groups have called the proposal “morally abhorrent,” and said it will result in abortions being timed to suit transplant patients.

Dr Peter Saunders, of the Christian Medical Fellowship, said the transplants would be immoral as every human being, even the unborn, deserved “protection, respect, wonder and empathy.”

Bro. Obama’s new spiritual advisor said to be a ‘team’ of five Pastors opposed to ‘social injustice’…

New York Times March 14, 2009

Without a Pastor of His Own, Obama Turns to Five By LAURIE GOODSTEIN

President Obama has been without a pastor or a home church ever since he cut his ties to the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. in the heat of the presidential campaign. But he has quietly cultivated a handful of evangelical pastors for private prayer sessions on the telephone and for discussions on the role of religion in politics.

All are men, two of them white and three black — including the Rev. Otis Moss Jr., a graying lion of the civil rights movement. Two, the entrepreneurial dynamos Bishop T. D. Jakes and the Rev. Kirbyjon H. Caldwell, also served as occasional spiritual advisers to President George W. Bush. Another, the Rev. Jim Wallis, leans left on some issues, like military intervention and poverty programs, but opposes abortion.

None of these pastors are affiliated with the religious right, though several are quite conservative theologically. One of them, the Rev. Joel C. Hunter, the pastor of a conservative megachurch in Florida, was branded a turncoat by some leaders of the Christian right when he began to speak out on the […]

Pakistan Arrests Opposition Leader to Block Protests: Report

Bloomberg News March 15, 2009

Pakistan Arrests Opposition Leader to Block Protests By James Rupert and Farhan Sharif

Pakistani police detained former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, blockaded highways and cities and put army troops on alert to break up a planned protest tomorrow in Islamabad.

Police surrounded Sharif’s home in Lahore, put him under house arrest for three days and detained scores of other leaders of his Pakistan Muslim League, said party spokesman Pervez Rashid. The government blockaded central Lahore and Islamabad, tightening its crackdown on nationwide protests to demand the restoration of dismissed judges who are supported by Sharif.

President Asif Ali Zardari “may prevent us from protesting in Islamabad tomorrow, but we will simply re-organize and renew our protest in a few days,” said Rai Muhammad Salim Raza Kharal, one of a few Muslim League activists who managed to reach the main rally venue in Lahore. Zardari “will face a long period of protest now,” he said, shortly before police fired tear gas to disperse rock-throwing demonstrators nearby.

Zardari’s use of force to quell protest and growing dissent in his Pakistan Peoples Party, are “deepening his credibility deficit and leaving his government […]

CBC: Opposition questions Bro. Galloway ban, Jewish groups pleased

British MP barred from Canada Paragraph 2 and 3

Opposition questions ban

Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff, speaking to reporters after a speech in Winnipeg Friday, said while he’s no fan of Galloway, people can’t be banned from Canada for what they may say.

“If he is being barred on free speech grounds that is an outrage,” said Ignatieff. “He can come to Canada and talk rubbish all day long as far as I’m concerned.”

But Ignatieff said Canadian security officials may know something he doesn’t.

“If there is a security threat, that is another matter,” he said.

NDP immigration critic Olivia Chow said the Conservatives have a pattern of suppressing those who have contradictory views.

“The minister of immigration is becoming the minister of censorship,” Chow told Canadian Press. “We don’t have to agree with everything Mr. Galloway talks about.

“But, at bare minimum, they should be allowed to express their points of view so Canadians can make decisions themselves. This is pure censorship and it’s wrong.”

Jewish groups pleased

Jewish organizations B’nai Brith and the Canadian Jewish Congress applauded the decision.

“We applaud the government for its explicit recognition that […]

Is Arnold a ‘cafeteria Catholic’ too? Gov. Schwarzenegger lauds Obama for lifting federal embryonic stem cell funding ban

Arnold Schwarzenegger, California’s “Catholic” governor, issued a statement yesterday praising Barack Obama shortly after the president issued an executive order lifting restrictions on federal funding of human embryonic stem cell research imposed by the Bush Administration.

“President Obama’s executive order is a huge win for the millions of people who suffer from spinal cord injuries, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis and many other illnesses,” said Schwarzenegger in a statement released by his press office within hours of the president’s decision. “Californians were the first in the nation to support and fund embryonic stem cell research and we are big believers in the power of this revolutionary science to not only improve but to save lives. Because of the federal ban, California’s world-renown research facilities have had to have separate areas for the federally-funded and the non-federally funded programs, causing duplicative efforts. I applaud President Obama for removing this barrier which allows California to maximize critical research funding so we can continue to lead the world in stem cell research.”

U.N. proposes $750B Global Carbon Tax ‘New Deal’

Reuters Mar 19, 2009

$750 billion “green” investment could revive economy: U.N. By Alister Doyle, Environment Correspondent

OSLO (Reuters) – Investments of $750 billion could create a “Green New Deal” to revive the world economy and protect the environment, perhaps aided by a tax on oil, the head of the U.N. environment agency said on Thursday.

Achim Steiner said spending should focus on five environmental sectors including improved energy efficiency for buildings and solar or wind power to create jobs, curb poverty and fight climate change.

“The opportunity must not be lost,” Steiner, head of the U.N. Environment Program (UNEP), told Reuters of a UNEP study that will be put to world leaders meeting in London on April 2 to work out how to spur the ailing economy.

The UNEP report said investments of one percent of global gross domestic product, or about $750 billion, could bankroll a “Global Green New Deal” inspired by the “New Deal” of U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt that helped end the depression of the 1930s.

President Obama’s climate plan could cost industry close to $2 trillion, nearly three times the White House’s initial estimate of the so-called “cap-and-trade” legislation, according to Senate staffers who were briefed by the White House.

A top economic aide to Mr. Obama told a group of Senate staffers last month that the president’s climate-change plan would surely raise more than the $646 billion over eight years the White House had estimated publicly, according to multiple a number of staffers who attended the briefing Feb. 26.

“We all looked at each other like, ‘Wow, that’s a big number,’” said a top Republican staffer who attended the meeting along with between 50 and 60 other Democratic and Republican congressional aides.

Liberals to hold policy convention, but won’t talk about policy

Grits say they’re avoiding making any policy suggestions that the governing Conservatives can copy in the next election

By Harris MacLeod

The federal Liberals will hold a major policy convention in early May, but they are refusing to discuss policy ideas and say they are avoiding making any policy suggestions that the governing Conservatives can copy in the next election.

They say they are keeping their still-developing campaign platform top secret in order to keep the focus squarely on the government amidst the rapidly deteriorating economy.

“What your policies are going to be in an election are announced just before you go into it. You don’t want to provide an opportunity for target practice in the meantime,” said Liberal Senator David Smith, one of four national campaign co-chairs charged with preparing the party for the next election.

Conservative Party plans to acclaim incumbent MPs

CBC News Tuesday, March 17, 2009

Conservative Party’s plan to acclaim incumbent MPs draws criticism

The federal Conservative Party is moving ahead with reforms to its process of nominating candidates for elections that will mean incumbent MPs won’t have to fight for nominations in their ridings.

The proposal would declare incumbent MPs acclaimed as candidates in the next election unless two-thirds of members in their ridings ask for an open nomination contest.

The party is sending ballots on the issue to its members. Only those with a Conservative Party membership as of March 10 can vote.

The idea is to respect the wishes of members as well as free up MPs so they can direct their time and effort to bolstering the minority government in Ottawa, according to Gord Elliot of the party’s national council.

Bro. Charles Schumer and the Chas Freeman Assassination

Obama Caves to Israel Lobby by Ray McGovern

On Tuesday morning Director of National Intelligence, Admiral Dennis Blair, employed the indicative mood in describing the high value that Chas Freeman, his appointee to head the National Intelligence Council (NIC), will bring to the job – “his long experience and inventive mind,” for example. By five o’clock in the afternoon, Freeman announced that he had asked that his selection “not proceed.”

Not one to mince words, Freeman spelled out the strange set of affairs surrounding the flip-flop and the implications of what had just happened. Borrowing the pointed warning from George Washington’s Farewell Address against developing a “passionate attachment” to the strategic goals of another nation, Freeman made it clear that he was withdrawing his “previous acceptance” of Blair’s invitation to chair the NIC because of the character assassination of him orchestrated by the Israel Lobby.

The implications? Freeman was clear:

“The outrageous agitation…will be seen by many to raise serious questions about whether the Obama administration will be able to make its own decisions about the Middle East and related issues…[It casts] doubt on its ability to consider, […]

Islamic states at UN: Criminalize Defamation of Islam

Islamic states: Criminalize defamation of Islam By MAYA SPITZER

The Islamic states circulated a new resolution at the current session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on Wednesday that would criminalize defamation of Islam as a human rights violation and encourage the imposition of Shari’a.

According to the nonbinding governmental resolution, titled “Combating Defamation of Religions,” anything deemed insulting to Islamic sensitivities would be banned as a “serious affront to human dignity” and a blatant violation of religious freedom.

The resolution would attempt to influence “local, national, regional and international levels” to incorporate such guarantees of this perceived freedom in their “legal and constitutional systems.”

“It is a covert package coordinated by Pakistan against the West,” said Leon Saltiel, director of communications at the Geneva-based human rights group UN Watch, on Thursday. “They think there is too much liberty and freedom of expression in the Western world, which therefore defames religion.”

Bilderbergers Excite Politicos

POLITICO | Politics | Bilderbergers excite conspiracists

By KENNETH P. VOGEL | 3/15/09 6:53 AM EDT

The highest levels of the Obama administration are infested with members of a shadowy, elitist cabal intent on installing a one-world government that subverts the will of the American people.

It sounds crazy, but that’s what a group of very persistent conspiracy theorists insists, and they point to President Obama’s nominee for Health and Human Services Secretary, Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, as the latest piece of evidence supporting their claims.

It turns out that Sebelius – like top administration economists Timothy Geithner, Larry Summers and Paul Volcker, as well as leading Obama diplomats Richard Holbrooke and Dennis Ross – is a Bilderberger.

That is, she is someone who has participated in the annual invitation-only conference held by an elite international organization known as the Bilderberg group.

The group, which takes its name from the Dutch hotel where it held its first meeting in 1954, exists solely to bring together between 100 and 150 titans of politics, finance, military, industry, academia and media from North America and Western Europe once a year to discuss world affairs. […]

JournoList: Inside the echo chamber MICHAEL CALDERONE | 3/17/09 3:59 AM EDT

For the past two years, several hundred left-leaning bloggers, political reporters, magazine writers, policy wonks and academics have talked stories and compared notes in an off-the-record online meeting space called JournoList. Proof of a vast liberal media conspiracy?

Not at all, says Ezra Klein, the 24-year-old American Prospect blogging wunderkind who formed JournoList in February 2007. “Basically,” he says, “it’s just a list where journalists and policy wonks can discuss issues freely.” But some of the journalists who participate in the online discussion say — off the record, of course — that it has been a great help in their work.

On the record, The New Yorker’s Jeffrey Toobin acknowledged that a Talk of the Town piece — he won’t say which one — got its start in part via a conversation on JournoList. And JLister Eric Alterman, The Nation writer and CUNY professor, said he’s seen discussions that start on the list seep into the world beyond. “I’m very lazy about writing when I’m not getting paid,” Alterman said. “So if I take the trouble to write something in any detail […]

Czech president attacks Al Gore’s climate campaign

Jan. 31, 2009

Czech President Vaclav Klaus took aim at climate change campaigner Al Gore on Saturday in Davos in a frontal attack on the science of global warming.

“I don’t think that there is any global warming,” said the 67-year-old liberal, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the European Union.

“I don’t see the statistical data for that.” Referring to the former US vice president, who attended Davos this year, he added: “I’m very sorry that some people like Al Gore are not ready to listen to the competing theories. I do listen to them.

“Environmentalism and the global warming alarmism is challenging our freedom. Al Gore is an important person in this movement.”

Speaking on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, he said that he was more worried about the reaction to the perceived dangers than the consequences.

“I’m afraid that the current crisis will be misused for radically constraining the functioning of the markets and market economy all around the world,” he said.

“I’m more afraid of the consequences of the crisis than the crisis itself.” Klaus makes no […]

Afghan Opposition says Bro. Karzai’s Presidential vote delay unconstitutional

New York Times

Afghan Presidential Election Delayed

January 29, 2009 By DEXTER FILKINS

KABUL — Afghan officials said Thursday they had decided to postpone the country’s presidential election until August, saying they needed more time to prepare. But parliamentary opposition figures said that the decision, which appeared to contravene Afghanistan’s constitution, raised doubts about the legitimacy of what could be President Hamid Karzai’s final months in office.

Azizullah Ludin, the chairman of the Independent Election Commission, said that his office had decided to put off the voting until August 20, which would give election workers more time to register candidates and set up voting machinery, and soldiers more time to bring dozens of chaotic districts under control. Mr. Ludin said the new date would allow the presidential election to take place under more favorable summer weather.

But the decision appeared to contravene Afghanistan’s constitution, which states that the president’s term expires on the Roman calendar’s equivalent of May 22. Fresh presidential elections, the constitution says, must be held within thirty to sixty days before the end of that term.
